Lay out the chain
Drape it over the tire
Insert the latch
Pull the latch back
fasten the latch
Stretch rubber straps over tire and repeat, taking up one link at a time.

Troubleshooting Photos:

You can easily downsize a chain by removing this nut and bolt.
Remove the nut with a wrench or plyers.
Remove the nut.
Remove the bolt.
Remove the strap from the metal clip.
Reinstall and tighten the chain. Cut off loose chain or secure it with a zip tie.
